Burden

I see the rush in me
To settle thoughts and tame them
Cage them and clean and turn the table.

When I am asked about a lover
I hide behind words
I hide my misery
And how I am deadly alone.

I am not the face I used to be
And some roses fell into my lap
But being the burden I am
I Don’t dare to believe
There is someone willing to bleed.

I am a heavy load of fears,
Screams and rage.
I don’t want to put problems in your hands.
Your clock has not that much sand.

I’ll rather be alone
And sing this song
Then kiss love
And remain stone.
